National Science Day 2025 (NSD-25) Celebration

National Science Day is celebrated in India every year on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. In recognition of this groundbreaking discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

The idea of celebrating National Science Day was proposed by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) in 1986. The Government of India accepted the proposal, and since then, 28th February has been officially observed as National Science Day. Each year, the celebration is centered around a specific theme, highlighting various aspects of science and its impact on society.

For National Science Day 2025 (NSD-25), a special celebration was organized at Sri Satya Sai University, Sehore, under the coordination of Dr. Rajendra Singh Kushwah, Dean, School of Engineering. The event featured distinguished guests, including:

  • Dr. Mukesh Tiwari, Vice Chancellor
  • Dr. Jitendra Agrawal, Director, School of Information Technology, RGPV Bhopal
  • Er. Ratnesh Singh, Secretary, Vigyan Bharti, Madhya Bharat

The celebration aimed to promote scientific awareness, innovation, and the significance of scientific advancements in daily life while bringing together esteemed academicians and experts in the field of science and technology. The program was Catalysed and sponsored by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST Govt. of India, and Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal, in association with IETE, Bhopal, and Vigyan Bharti, Madhya Bharat.
